The Rahimi and Cargill and decisions by the Supreme Court have again put the public spotlight on the hollow jurisprudence and contorted “originalist” history of the SCOTUS rulings in the earlier Heller (2008) and Bruen (2022) cases, both of which have made gun violence an even greater problem in these United States and thwarted sensible and majority supported efforts to enact meaningful firearm safety laws and regulations.
With the Department of Justice pulling back from litigation curbing forced reset triggers, we can expect further questionable judicial rulings with regard against limiting assault weapons, firearms far more deadly than anything the Founding Fathers and drafters of the Second Amendment could have imagined or, in fact, did imagine.
